Press Release Author: Bruce Jones / Design And Promote

Industry: Internet & Online

Press Release Summary: Fox Lake angler help make fishing on Fox Lake and Chain O
Lakes an online social event.

Press Release Body: Fishermen in the Chain O Lakes area have a new place to congregate.

It's not on a lake, though, but on the Internet. Fox Lake resident Paul Jones runs a
Web site, www.foxlakefishing.com, which pertains to fishing in the Chain O' Lakes
and Fox Lake area.

It's an online community where local fishermen can share fishing stories, fishing
reports, photos and even jokes.

Just about anything that concerns a fisherman can be found on the site. The Web site
recently started a fishing forum, significantly increasing the number of hits it
receives a day, Jones said.

The forum isn't just for fishing either. There are topics on the forum that deal
with camping, hunting, boating and just about every outdoor activity that exists.

"The forum is the most popular part of the Web site," Jones said. "That's where
everyone can view a lot of different information, such as what kind of fish you can
catch and keep from the Chain O Lakes."
The fishing forum is located online at www.foxlakefishing.com/forum

Jones said the site receives about 200 to 300 hits a day. At one time, it was
receiving about 2,000 hits a day. He never thought it would have this much success.

"I wasn't expecting this much success for it, but it just starting growing and
growing," Jones said. "We just kept getting more hits and more people posting their
stories and showing off photos of the fish they caught last weekend and such."

Since the Web site was created at the end of December, Jones said, it has received
over 40,000 hits. He said it has received a lot of positive feedback.

"People who live on the lakes around here obviously go fishing a lot," Jones said.
"They like the fact that they can receive fishing reports from the Web site
including what fish are biting where, the water level of the lakes, water
temperatures and even the weather report around the area."

The Web site was a Christmas gift from his brother Bruce Jones who is a Web designer
at www.DesignAndPromote.com and gets out every once in awhile when he gets away from
his office to go fishing with his brother.

Jones said there are 41 members of the Web site who regularly post information. You
have to register to be a member, but there is no fee. Nonmembers can view everything
on the Web site, including recipes for cooking fish.

JD Spinner, the professional fishing guide from www.jdspinners.com regularly writes
about what lures fish are hitting on while on his fishing charters and has a section
devoted to showing the best of what fishing for a living is all about.

One of the fishing blog posts at www.FoxLakeFishing.com features a photo of Paul
with a 29\" 5.5 lb. Walleye that he caught on a dead end channel on the north side of
Fox Lake. He says he knows where the fish are and if you stay tuned you will too.

"I expect our forum will continue having a lot of progress especially since it is
prime Bass and Walleye season now," he said. "Fishermen like to know what fish are
biting where.

Come visit FoxLakeFishing.com and join in the fun by sharing your fishing stories
